COURSE DESCRIPTION
  • Workshop and study based course
  • Development of good standard/advanced joinery skills
  • Use of woodcutting machines
  • Use of portable power tools
  • Making and assembling advanced joinery products such as frames, cabinets, windows, doors and stairs
  • Completion of study packs, practical pieces, module tests and end test
QUALIFICATION
  • CITB Bench Joinery Diploma and NVQ Level 2 and 3
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
  • Sponsored by employer
  • Completion of Maths and English basic skills assessment
  • Commitment to and interest in woodworking
COURSE DURATION
  • Level 2 – 2 years 2 days per week, for 37 weeks or block release
  • Level 3 – 1 year 2 days per week, for 37 weeks or block release
FEES
  • 16-18 year old = NIL
  • 19+ = £1,500 per year
  • Level 3 24+ = £5,400 per year
