  • Framework element including NVQ, Maths, English and Employment Responsibilities.
  • CITB Level 2 Diploma and NVQ in Wood Machining Apprenticeship Framework
  • Completion of Maths and English basic skills assessment
  • Commitment to and interest in wood machining
  • Apprentices must be sponsored by an employer
  • 2 years, 1 day per week (37 weeks per year)
  • 16-18 year old = NIL
  • For continuing 19+ apprentices the employer will pay a contribution of £1,500 per year.
  • For new starts, or new level 3 apprentices, employers who pay the Government Apprenticeship Levy the fees will be paid from your accumulated Levy Fund. For employers who are not levy payers (in other words have an annual payroll of less than £3m) you will pay 10% of the cost of the apprenticeship. The Building Crafts College charges the Government capped rate for apprenticeship delivery. These rates can be seen here.
