COURSE DESCRIPTION
  • Workshop and study based course
  • Carpentry and joinery
  • Wall and floor tiling
  • Maintenance plastering
  • Maintenance roofing
  • Maintenance painting and decorating
  • Plumbing repairs
  • Access equipment
  • Repairs to masonry
  • General construction
  • Completion of framework elements including NVQ level 2, English, Maths and Employment Responsibilities
QUALIFICATION
  • CITB Level 2 Diploma plus NVQ in Building Maintenance, Multi-trade Repair and Refurbishment Operations
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
  • Completion of Maths and English initial assessment
  • Commitment to and interest in building maintenance
  • Apprentices must be sponsored by an employer
COURSE DURATION
  • 2 years block release
FEES
  • 16-18 year old = NIL
  • For continuing 19+ apprentices the employer will pay a contribution of £1,500 per year.
  • For new starts, or new level 3 apprentices, employers who pay the Government Apprenticeship Levy the fees will be paid from your accumulated Levy Fund. For employers who are not levy payers (in other words have an annual payroll of less than £3m) you will pay 10% of the cost of the apprenticeship. The Building Crafts College charges the Government capped rate for apprenticeship delivery. These rates can be seen here.
