Since September 2008 the fine woodwork department has moved to new workshops with a brand new machine shop, equipped with Felder machinery.

Maker in Residence

The department has a ‘Maker in Residence ‘scheme’, where a second year student is selected to stay on and build their own portfolio and work within the diploma workshops. They are chosen for their making and design ability together with the desire and drive to achieve a business of their own. We have two current makers at the college who are:

James O'Halloran and Edward Borastero
