National Apprenticeship Week
Woodwork Apprenticeships: Joinery and Furniture Making
We are proud of our ongoing partnerships with a wide range of employers in the building crafts and construction sectors.
Together with TMJ Interiors we are currently providing training for 5 second year and 2 first year joinery apprentices, as well as assessing two of their Project Managers for their Level 6 Management qualifications. An excellent example of how an apprenticeship can be a great way in to a rewarding and varied career, TMJ are featuring many of their current and former apprentices on their Instagram this week. TMJ have a great “grow your own” philosophy and offer apprenticeship opportunities each year, so keep an eye on their social media.
In fine woodwork and furniture making, we work closely with with the renowned Edward Barnsley Workshop and have regularly supported students who wish to apply for their further training and apprenticeship opportunities. Anyone considering applying for the next apprentice intake should register their interest by 16th May. Please visit their apprenticeships page for more detailed information on how to apply.
And finally, these aren’t apprenticeships, but while we are here (and just to show you some of the many opportunities out there for skilled woodworkers!) we are sharing a couple of job opportunities from our partners and alumni…
Falkus Joinery, in Shoreditch, currently has two vacancies – for a Joinery Assistant and an experienced Site Installer. Please visit Falkus Joinery | Vacancies for more details.
