Short Course – An Introduction to Plastering & Tiling

COURSE DESCRIPTION
Introduction to Plastering & Tiling is a taster course for those who want to learn the basics in both. You will learn to cut and fix plasterboard, apply a skim coat of plaster, advance to laying several coats of plaster and finish to a smooth finish and deal with damaged areas. Also learn how to render and lay screed. Finally you will learn how to prepare walls, tile and grout them to a polished finish.
The course is ideal for hobbyists who have their own projects to work on but would be suitable for workers in the trade who want to upskill.

QUALIFICATION

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
- No prior experience necessary
You will need to bring:
- Steel toe-capped boots (to be worn at all times while on course)
- H or 2H pencils
- Pencil sharpener
- Eraser/rubber
- Pens/pencils
- Notebook/paper
COURSE DURATION
- More detail to follow but we will offer a variety of courses ranging from term-long Saturday courses and one or two week blocks over Easter and Summer
