Short Course – An Introduction to Roofing

Introduction to Roofing is a taster course for those who want to learn the basics. You will learn to install rafters, measure and cut timber to create soffits and fascia boards; fix battens, felt and tile the roof including ridge tiles; sand and cement verge for weather protection; and install guttering and downpipes
The course is ideal for hobbyists who have their own projects to work on but would be suitable for workers in the trade who want to upskill.

  • No prior experience necessary

You will need to bring:

  • Steel toe-capped boots (to be worn at all times while on course)
  • H or 2H pencils
  • Pencil sharpener
  • Eraser/rubber
  • Pens/pencils
  • Notebook/paper
