Short Course – An Introduction to Conservation and Restoration

COURSE DESCRIPTION
Introduction to Conservation and Restoration is a taster course for those who might wish to pursue an apprenticeship or diploma in Conservation. The course is also ideal for hobbyists who have their own projects to work on. You will complete a programme in heritage and conservation crafts that includes stone masonry and woodworking.

QUALIFICATION
- College certificate
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
- Interest in conservation, restoration, stone working and wood working
- No prior experience necessary
You will need to bring:
- Steel toe-capped boots (to be worn at all times while on course)
- H or 2H pencils
- Pencil sharpener
- Eraser/rubber
- Pens/pencils
- Notebook/paper
COURSE DURATION
- More detail to follow but we will offer a variety of courses ranging from 2 and 4 day workshops, term-long Saturday courses and one or two week blocks over Easter and Summer
