Stonemasonry Diploma L3, 18+

The Level 3 Diploma in Stonemasonry builds on prior learning in Level 2. Primarily based in the workshop, you will extend your skills to production of complex stonemasonry components, for example ramp and twist or carved tracery

 Areas covered include:

  • Primarily workshop-based learning and development of key techniques of banker stonemasonry.
  • Theory units on stonemasonry, construction, history and production of architectural stone components
  • Health and Safety
  • Use of hand and powered tools
  • Setting out complex geometry for template details
  • Marking out and making stone components
  • Stone carving
  • Complex stonework

The College reserves the right to change aspects of the course

  • Level 3 Diploma in Stonemasonry

  • Completion of Maths and English initial assessment
  • Commitment to and interest in stonemasonry
  •  1 year, 2 or 2½ days per week (37 weeks per year)
  • £7,700
